Simmons Tree Farms Wholesale Nursery: Texas-Grown Trees and Palms
Welcome!
We are wholesale growers of trees, palms, and desert plants. Established in 2002, Simmons Tree Farms is located in Harlingen, Texas. We currently have 150 acres in production.
Most of our shade trees are field grown in RootMaker bags. This process prunes the roots as they reach the bag material, eliminating any circling roots. The end product has a fibrous root system that is ready to take off after installation. Another benefit is that we are able to safely harvest most species all year round.
We also field grow several varieties of palm trees. Good genetics, nutrition, and spacing have given us beautiful specimen palms with hefty, healthy trunks! Our customers receive them fresh-harvested with shrink-wrapped root balls.
On a personal note, we are a family farm that delved into nursery products in 2002. We have been farming in the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas since 1919—spanning five generations so far! Simmons Tree Farms is committed to providing the nursery trade with quality products at reasonable prices.

Meet Our Team
Tony De La Rosa | Nursery Manager
Tony De La Rosa brings more than 35 years of experience in the nursery trade. He directs all the outside staff and oversees all growing operations.
Audrey Hooks | Managing Partner
Audrey joined the family business in 2017 and stepped up to Managing Partner in 2022. In addition to overseeing all sales and deliveries, she oversees product quality and inventory availability.
Myranda Villarreal, Office Assistant
Myranda takes orders, arranges deliveries, communicates with customers, runs our social media and helps keep us all on task.
Manuel Flores, Jr., Crew Leader
Junior is our outside crew leader. Whether it's getting material harvested or trucks loaded, he makes things happen
Santos Carranza, Driver
Santos brings 3 decades of experience in machinery operation. He does all our tractor work, spades trees, and makes our local deliveries.
Natalie Leal / Business Services
Natalie has been actively involved in the family agriculture businesses since 2006 and the tree farm since 2022. She took the lead on Finance and Business Operations at the tree farm when Mary Beth retired.
